アニエスベーは、パティ・スミスのドキュメンタリー映画「パティ・スミス：ドリーム・オブ・ライフ」をサポートしている。
アニエスベーはこれまでパティ・スミスへの衣装提供を行っており、またアニエスベーのブランド30周年を祝ってパリのオランピアで開催されたファッションショー＆ライブイベントにパティ・スミスが出演するなど、親交が深い。
1970年代に頭角を現し、類まれな音楽性、怒りを表現した詩、独自のスタイルを貫くパフォーマンスでミュージックシーンを刺激し続けてきた伝説のロッカーであるパティ・スミス。パンクの女王であると同時に、詩、絵画、写真・・・、多岐にわたる分野で活躍するアーティストであり、社会活動家であり、そして母でもあり、娘でもある、一人の女性・・・。
本作は実に11年間にも及ぶ密着取材で記録された映像をベースに、ライブ・パフォーマンス、自身による解説、インタビューを通して、彼女の人生、精神性、哲学を解き明かしていく人生唯一のドキュメンタリーである。
