今 年81歳のアニエス・ヴァルダが、カメラを持って再び旅に出た。人生を彩った浜辺を巡りながら、自身、亡夫ジャック・ドゥミ、家族、友人について思いを馳 せる旅は、個人的なものであると同時に、戦中、戦後、ヌーヴェル・ヴァーグ、フラワーチルドレンの時代・・・さながら現代史でもある。
