ジュリアン・ランゲンドルフはパリ生まれの造形作家/ミュージシャンで、ミステリアスなデッサンやコラージュ、インスタレーションの手法を取り入れている。幻覚にとらわれたような彼のビジョンが作り出す神秘的な夢幻の世界は、１９６０年代にその土台が築かれたカウンターカルチャーや１９世紀の版画を参照したものだ。
ギャラリー デュ ジュールの《The Ritual Key》展は新作シリーズで構成されている。マチスが用いたような手法で色紙を切り貼りしたもので、その組合せによって抽象的な有機体のフォルム、不気味な形が生まれている。
ジュリアン・ランゲンドルフはこのほどジェイソン・グラッサーと映画《Pilars Of Fires》を共同制作し、サウンドトラックにはアントニー＆ザ・ジョンソンのツアーに参加した歌手のマティア・ベイムも参加している。
