ストーリー：監督のジョナサン・カウエットは、精神的な病に苦しむ母親、ルネに付き添い、彼女のヒューストンからニューヨークへの引越しのため、アメリカ横断の旅に出る。道中、彼らが出会う障害の中に組み込まれる過去への回想によって、この風変わりな母と息子の関係について明らかになっていく。音楽的なモンタージュ、サイケデリックなシークエンス、そして交互にやってくる現実と回想シーンにより、この作品は愛、犠牲そして私たちをとりまく現実について問いかける。
